Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 September 2026
1. The service
Host Port provides software for short-term rental hosts to manage their listings, bookings, guest communication and channel sync. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
Host Port is a tool that helps you run your accommodation business. It is not your agent, your booking platform or your property manager. The decisions about your prices, availability, bookings and guests are yours, and so is the business that results from them.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account, including anything done by team members you invite. You must be at least 18 years old and operating a legitimate accommodation business.
3. Pricing and billing
Host Port is free to use for unlimited listings on iCal sync. The Pro plan is billed through Stripe at $10 USD per listing per month, or the local price for a listing in Australia ($15 AUD); the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man (£8 GBP); New Zealand ($18 NZD); a country that uses the euro (€9 EUR); or Canada ($15 CAD). An account keeps the currency it was first billed in. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel any time from the app, billing stops at the end of the current period.
Money back guarantee. If you're not happy with the Pro plan, email us within 90 days of the day you first subscribed and we'll refund everything you paid us for Pro in that time. The guarantee applies once per account, to your first 90 days on Pro only. After those 90 days, payments are non-refundable and we don't refund part of a billing period, except where Australian Consumer Law says otherwise.
4. Channels and third parties
Host Port connects to Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, Expedia, Agoda and other channels through our channel manager partner, Channex, and through iCal feeds. Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't own or control any of these companies.
We aren't responsible for a channel's or a payment provider's availability, outages, delays, errors, API changes, fees, policy decisions, ranking changes, account reviews or suspensions, or for how they handle your data. When a channel changes or breaks something, we'll work to adapt, but we can't promise when, or whether, it will be fixed. Your relationship with each channel is between you and that channel: their terms, their fees and their payouts apply, and you retain ownership of your listings on each channel.
iCal sync is delayed by its nature. Feeds are only refreshed periodically by each channel, so a booking on one channel can take time to block dates on another. iCal on its own cannot prevent a double booking. If that matters for your listing, use a real-time connection and keep your own checks in place.
5. Your responsibilities
You stay in charge of your business and the information in it. In particular, you're responsible for:
- checking that your prices, availability, minimum stays, fees and restrictions are correct on every channel, especially after connecting a channel, changing a setting, importing bookings or being shown a sync warning;
- honouring the bookings you accept, and handling your guests, refunds, disputes, taxes and local laws;
- keeping your channel accounts in good standing, and not connecting a second channel manager to the same listing;
- the accuracy and legality of your listing content, house rules, photos and messages, including automated messages you set up;
- keeping a copy of any information you can't afford to lose.
Host Port shows sync status, warnings and errors in the app so you can act on them. Please look at them. We can't act on your behalf with a channel or a guest, and we don't monitor individual accounts for you.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Host Port for anything illegal. Don't try to break into other accounts. Don't reverse-engineer the service or scrape it for competitive purposes. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules.
7. Data and ownership
Your listing content, guest data and bookings belong to you. We process them on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data at any time.
8. Service availability
We aim for high availability but can't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, because of a fault, or because a channel, network or hosting provider we rely on is unavailable. We may change, suspend or retire features from time to time, and we'll give reasonable notice where a change materially affects you.
Host Port is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind beyond those required by Australian Consumer Law. We don't warrant that the service will meet your requirements, that data sent to or received from a channel will always be complete, accurate or on time, or that every booking on every channel will always be reflected in Host Port.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Host Port, its directors, employees and contractors are not liable to you or anyone else for any:
- loss of revenue, profit, income, bookings, business, goodwill or opportunity;
- double bookings, overbookings, missed bookings, cancellations or blocked dates;
- incorrect prices, availability, minimum stays, fees or restrictions sent to, or received from, any channel;
- sync delays, failures or interruptions, whatever the cause;
- guest claims, refunds, chargebacks, penalties, fees, ranking changes or account action imposed by a channel or payment provider;
- loss, corruption or inaccuracy of data;
- unauthorised access to your account through your login details or those of your team;
- indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss or damage of any kind;
however it arises, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), under statute or otherwise, and even if we were told that the loss was possible.
Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, including under Australian Consumer Law, our liability is limited, at our option, to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again. In every other case, our total liability to you for all claims arising in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or A$100 if you paid nothing.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
10. Indemnity
You agree to cover us for any loss, cost, claim or expense we incur because of a claim by a guest, a channel or anyone else that arises from your listings, your bookings, your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these terms or the law, except to the extent we caused it.
11. Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days in advance.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
